New Faces at the Flood Control District

In October we welcomed four fantastic new professionals to our ever-growing team. Take a moment to learn more about their new duties and responsibilities.

Jacob Hanson was hired to the position of Survey Technician, under the supervision of Mark Sherley. Mr. Hanson will be responsible for providing survey-related support to the field survey crew and for performing specialized and complex professional survey engineering work for the Flood Control District’s survey department.

Robert Prejean joined the Flood Control District as its new Multimedia Specialist, under the supervision of Ken Bullock. Mr. Prejean will be responsible for creating and executing multimedia projects for the Communications Division.

Jessica Lazo has joined the Flood Control District as a Watershed Plan Reviewer under the supervision of David Saha. Ms. Lazo will be responsible for the research, review, and initial approval of site drainage plans for private sector development projects and public sector infrastructure projects with regard to Flood Control District policies and design criteria.

Samson D’Silva was hired by the Flood Control District as an Engineering Project Manager, under the supervision of Jonathan St. Romain. Mr. D’Silva will be responsible for directing and implementing complex projects including managing assigned in-house resources and outside consultants in the execution of the project in support of the Flood Control District’s mission to implement flood damage reduction projects.
